Alumni

In the 6 years I spent in SIS, I learnt a lot not just by learning from my own mistakes but also by listening to the people I have known in the school. I had the best teachers I have ever had in my life. My friends were also the ones who understood all my feelings and helped me in all the problems I faced; I really had a great time with them.

The memories I had since I was in Primary 5 to the time I have spent with my 3 best friends in Secondary 4 will not only be in my mind but also in my heart. All the time I had with my Secondary 4 friends, Aditya, Feeby and Stefania are the best memories that it had since Secondary 3. We have been struggling together to achieve the best result for our IGCSE Exams.

For the teachers, thank you for the full assistance that you have given to us and for the time we spent together in the school during studies and activities. We really appreciate all of your hand work and patience. We also thank you for all the encouragement that you have shown to all of us.

I believe that we can always communicate with each other whenever and wherever we are. I won’t forget a single time we all had together. And lastly for the whole school community, TOWARDS GREATER HEIGHTS!

SIS had given me so many memorable experiences in learning and making new friends. At first, I wasn’t able to catch up with the subjects since my English was poor but all of the teachers and my friends helped and supported me in my studies, and so I was finally able t5o learn easier than I thought. As a result, my use of the English language has improved and my IGCSE results were satisfying. I’m so grateful to SIS for helping me learn and I love how they craft events and activities for the students to learn more.

Last year, I graduated from Singapore School, Semarang. I was glad to have wonderful experiences while spending my time in Secondary 3 – Secondary 4 in SIS. The most important thing that I learned was not only the knowledge shared by the teachers, but also the value of relationships with them, fellow and staff. The teachers were very loving, supportive and caring. We had a lot of activities equipping us with knowledge as well as group activities highlighting teamwork. These help me with my studies today. Some of the subjects that I have in my foundation studies now are subject had already learned in secondary which in turn helped me to get good scores. I plan to continue my studies in Architectural Design after I am done with my foundation. I would like to thank all the teachers and my classmates in SIS for coursed all the knowledge and values that I have imbibed which helped me a lot now.

There are no enough words to show how grateful I am of SIS. I have been staying in SIS since 2009 to 2013. I have had a lot of unforgettable memories and wonderful experiences in SIS. It is truly a blessing because they were very welcoming and accepting of who I was. Without their help and support, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I chose this school because I believe in its vision-mission of paving student way “Towards Greater Heights”.

Since I was a child, I have always dream of becoming a great doctor and entering a famous medical university in Indonesia. Indeed, my dream came true and I could say that I worked extremely hard to be I this university. Seeking admission was definitely not easy because at that time, I needed to focus in IGCSE and at the same time to take classes in preparation for national exam and university’s qualifying exams. For me, it was a chance to achieve my long time dream, but that chance felt like reaching for the stars though aware. There are more than 400 applicants, I have no option but to win. In every trial, there is hope, in every failure, there are always people who motivated me not to never give up. It was inevitable because at times I felt down, but I have always thoughts what I could do and offer to the world. This note seriously did boost my mood, “You are one special edition from God’s special factory”. From then on, I never quit trying and I didn’t forget people who were there for me. This school helped me a lot and had shaped me to be a better person.

When the results came out, I was very happy because I was accepted in this university of 96 students from 421 applicants and I didn’t pass through Junior College at that. Currently, I am continuing my studies in Widya Mandala Catholic University, Surabaya. I know that the road to success is still far but with the values instined in me at SIS, I will be able to make it. I also involve in varied activities initialed by the university. I will continue to strive to be a lifelong learner. I’m looking forward to a brighter future!

Special thanks to my beloved form teacher, Mitzi Moneva Daclan, Ms. Sandy and all the teachers that I can not mention one by one. Without their undying support and love, I couldn’t be where I am today. A big thanks to SIS!

A Chapter of My Life at SIS

As a human being, you can only live life for a period of time, which is your childhood, and SIS has taught me just how to do that. My time in SIS doesn't stay with me as a mere education, it's a part of me. I carry the experiences and beautiful memories as precious belongings. All the laughs and hardships are not situated at the back of my head, but they are imprinted deep in my heart. The teachers had been more than just figures who stood in front of the whiteboard and explained what was written in the book. They have been my close friends who understood me and guided me all throughout. The education they gave me was not the one written in books and make sure I passed the test, but the one that has helped me understand better and develop entirely. I reckoned on my amazing time with my friends here by the number of footballs we kicked out the school grounds during break and lunch time, but still came back with the next day with a new ball and higher spirit just to be able to play and enjoy together.

The way we made the class smell after arduous sessions of playing, they way we messed around with each other were fun and the teachers who were unforgettable. My P6 graduation, wasn't only the mark of us passing in our studies, but they were the manifestations of the bittersweet memories we had during our amazing time at SIS.

shylusec2Dear All.

As my daughter is going to study in India her 9th grade and it is her last semester in SIS.

I would like to share a few words about this school. My daughter appeared for her entrance exam in India and she finished it within 1½ hours, and got passed in high score.

I would give the full credit to SIS, as it is solely because of their good coaching given to her. Moreover this curriculum is recognized very well in India. SIS was always there to my child when in time of need. The teachers were of full support to her.

Thank you SIS
